New Menu Item Alert: eegee’s Chicken Tenders

Chicken tenders are easy to eat and even easier to love, which is why eegee’s is so excited to add them to our menu. (When we have ranch dressing that’s delicious enough to drink, it’s no wonder we’re always looking for the best foods to pair it with.) Learn more about how you can order it, what you can dip it in, and a few recommendations on the best way to round out the meal.

eegee’s Chicken Tenders

With its juicy chicken and perfectly proportioned breading, the recipe for these tenders makes them absolutely delectable all the way through. If you’re looking for chicken strips near me, we serve them as meals. (Each version comes with medium fries and a small eegee.) The hot food plus the cold drink are an undeniably delightful way to enjoy your lunch or dinner.

The best part is that you get to try the tenders with different eegees to figure out which one you like. While our classic lemon eegee may seem like the obvious choice, the reality is that you may prefer strawberry or even something a little more exotic — like our piña colada. If you happen to love it the most with one of our popular flavors of the month, our staff can recommend the next best thing once it’s taken off the table.

Breaded chicken tenders are available in the following combos:

  • 2 Piece: The 2 piece chicken tenders option is an excellent choice for a light meal or a hardy snack.
  • 3 Piece: Perfect for a standard meal, it’s just the right amount of food to fill you up.
  • 4 Piece: Whether you’re extra hungry or sharing with a friend, you’ll get 4 tenders plus an eegee and fries to satisfy your craving.

Not in the mood for a full meal or want a different side? No worries, you can also order the tenders à la carte. Cheesy bacon fries with chicken tenders does sound pretty good.

Dipping eegee’s Chicken Tenders: Choose Between 3 Types of Ranch

Well, we certainly recommend starting off with our original homemade ranch, as that is our signature sauce. Of course, we’re not knocking the chipotle or buffalo versions. Each choice has its own perks, so it all depends on what you’re looking for. If you had a yen for buffalo wings instead of chicken tenders, you might be surprised at how the buffalo ranch changes the flavor profile of the chicken just enough to hit the spot. If you want to pep up every bite with some heat, the chipotle ranch is spicy enough without overwhelming the palate.

The Bit of eegee’s

eegee’s might have a silly name, but the staff and owners are as sincere as they come. Starting out on a blistering hot summer day in 1971, eegee’s founders helped Tucsonians cool down by offering silky smooth frozen lemonade from their truck. Concerts, sporting events, parks: wherever people needed a treat, they were there with a fruit-packed drink like no other. The original truck drivers might not have expected to be around more than 50 years later, but it was clear that the demand was there for the refreshingly fruity beverage.

Since then, we began offering other iconic eegee flavors and added quality menu items like our iconic Original Grinder and Specialty Fries. With the launch of our chicken tenders, we also added more meat and cheese to our grinders, so we could give our fans more of what they love.

Rounding Out Your Meal

Whether you stop by eegee’s for some quick bites or late night food, you can’t go wrong with anything you order. If it’s too scorching for chicken fingers, try a grinder or a salad. Our original grinder comes with salami, provolone, cheese, ham, and all the accoutrement you’d expect in a classic sub.

If you’re a vegetarian or just cutting back on meat, the veggie grinder is two different types of cheese, plus tomatoes, onions, olives, spices, and our fabulous home-made house dressing. We also have tasty subs like turkey and provolone or ham and Swiss. Crisp salads, hot fries, kids’ meals, and even chocolate chip cookies make it easy for everyone to get something they want when they visit.

Party Paks and Catering

While not all of our menu items are available for catering (including our chicken fingers), that doesn’t mean you can’t call us for your big event. If you’re planning a party, eegee’s helps you scale it up. Order a Fun Pak, also known as a bucket of our famous eegee drink. It serves 25 and comes with cups, spoons, and a scoop so everyone can get enough. It’s tart, sweet, and jam-packed with the best parts of the fruit.

If you’re having an even bigger shindig, the Party Pak serves 50 in a jumbo bucket. Whether you order the Fun Pak or the Party Pak, the proportions of the fruit to frost are absolutely perfect all the way through, so you don’t have to worry about uneven sips. Top it off with a 3-foot grinder, and you’re ready to go.

Expanding Into Phoenix

When people enjoy eegee’s in Tucson, they tend to take the news with them wherever they go. So while we might not be as famous in the farthest flung corners of Arizona, you can bet that news spread outside the Old Pueblo to other major cities and towns.

That’s how we ended up expanding into Phoenix and the surrounding areas like Gilbert and Mesa. This recent growth is exciting for a number of reasons, particularly because we want to give Phoenicians a real reason to celebrate. There’s no better place to do that than at every day celebration spot like eegee’s.

With 32 locations in Southern Arizona and more on the way, there’s plenty of eegee’s to go around. Come try our new and improved menu offerings at eegee’s near you
